Dental Crowns

When it comes to the treatment itself, your dentist will remove a thin layer of the outer surface of the tooth, the same thickness as the crown, leaving the strong inner core. You will have a temporary crown fitted while your permanent one is made. When your new crown is ready (about 1 to 2 weeks later), you will go back to the dentist to have it fitted with a special cement or adhesive, which will seal the crown in place.
